This year marks our 2nd year in partnership with Denver Startup Week and Junior Achievement to bring Youth Pass to Denver-area youth!

On Tuesday, September 25, YouthBiz entrepreneurs between the ages of 6 and 18 years sold their products and pitched their business to adult entrepreneurs. There were 21 businesses there, ranging from lip balms to handbags.  All showcased their products, services, and/or business ideas.

This year we added a twist! To make the event a little bit more interactive and fun, attendees were given the task to visit as many youth entrepreneurs’ booths as possible, listen to their pitches, ask questions, and use a pom pom to “vote” for their favorite.  The youth with the most pom poms received a $25 Chipotle gift card. Who wouldn’t want that?!

After a long, hard day’s work, we revealed the winner of the contest, Ender Gressett, owner and founder of Muggle Creations, wood burned items in a variety of different geometric and Harry Potter related designs. Congratulations Ender and to all the participants.

Youth entrepreneurs made over $600 in gross sales.  A big thank you to Youthbiz volunteers and the Denver Startup community for supporting the future of entrepreneurship!
