The term for the 2013-2014 board has ended.  We had a fantastic year learning about banking, finance, non-profits, philanthropy, business etiquette, and much more.  The Youth Board members finished up their term with a fun pool party at Bill Daniels’ old home of Cableland.  They are also helping us recruit the new board members for the 2014-2015 term.

Do you know someone who will be an 8th through 12th grader this fall?  Send them our way to apply for the board by completing this application.

Each year, the board is led by two former board members who are high school juniors or seniors.  They complete an intensive application and interview process to be selected.  This year, we are pleased to announce the Co-Chairs for the 2014-2015 board will be Ashia Ajani and Martha Baker.  Learn a bit more about the new Co-Chairs below.

Ashia Ajani

Ashia will be a senior at East High School this fall.  She was a member of the 2011-2012 Youth Board.  In addition to a rigorous class schedule, Ashia enjoys slam poetry, plays the piano, and writes for Serendipity magazine. She is also a tutor for CABPES and plays in several different jazz combos throughout the school year.  Listen to Ashia talk more about her excitement for the Youth Board term coming up.
