A partnership with Denver Startup Week and Junior Achievement brought a brand new component to Denver Startup Week this year: Youth Pass!

As part of this program, Young Americans Center for Financial Education hosted a YouthBiz Marketplace & Expo at the Commons on Champa on September 26.  This year, 25 businesses participated, selling a wide variety of items including home-made pecan pie, lotion, lemonade, and more.

The event was a huge success!  Youth entrepreneurs were thrilled with the opportunity to speak to adult entrepreneurs about their ventures.  At the same time, Denver Startup Week participants were impressed with the pitches and salesmanship they witnessed at the event.  One customer even remarked that he should have brought his adult business class to observe the event.  Matthew and Jay, owners of Beyond Earth Boards, stated that they would rather miss some of soccer practice than miss the opportunity to possibly speak to Mark Cuban, who was filming a segment in an adjacent room.

More than 18,000 people participated in Denver Startup Week this year, and Young Americans is so excited that youth entrepreneurs were among them.
