Young Americans is more than a bank and more than a classroom.
Young Americans is 100% focused on preparing youth to take charge of their financial future. As the only bank in the world for kids, along with financial literacy programs, we equip kids with the knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve success in life and the free enterprise system. At Young Americans, we believe in the potential of every child. And we teach them to believe in themselves.

Young Americans was founded with one bold purpose: To prepare youth to take charge of their financial futures.
It all started with Bill Daniels.
What Bill Daniels’ saw in youth was their energy for life, and how their potential gave him hope for America’s future. In 1984, Bill read a newspaper article about how a bank denied a group of 5th graders who were seeking a small business loan. This sparked the idea for starting a bank just for kids. And by 1987, Young Americans Bank, the only bank in the world for kids opened its doors.

Instilling Bill’s “take charge” confidence in all kids.
What Bill demonstrated through the founding of Young Americans Bank was the “take charge!” attitude and the entrepreneurial mindset needed for success in business, and life. And he wanted youth everywhere to have that same level of confidence by giving them the tools they needed to achieve their own financial literacy and youth entrepreneurship.
Bill Daniels believed America’s financial system was the best in the world. It was his vision for youth everywhere to understand how it works at an early age. This way, Young Americans could carry this knowledge with them throughout their life.

If you’ve never taken a chance on yourself, at least think about it. Unless you do you may never know what you’re missing out on. And neither will the rest of the world.
