Summer day camps are a great way for young people to experience financial education through our award-winning programs facilitated by our beloved program staff! These dynamic camps (which emphasize fun!) feature interactive activities, hands-on application of instruction as well as outdoor time on our beautiful program deck. Camps are available for youth entering 3rd-8th grade in the 2025-2026 school year.

Just Start It

Have you ever thought about making some extra money, but you’re not sure how or where to begin? This camp gives you tools and tricks you need to make a business happen now! Campers develop real businesses and real products that they’ll present on Friday for a chance to win awesome prizes. Plus, you’ll be on your way to earning real profits!

Make it app'en

Rising 6th, 7th or 8th graders

students entering 6th, 7th or 8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year

This camp will teach how to create, market and sell your very own mobile application as a business venture. Campers will learn block coding through MIT App Inventor and will present and demo their app- based businesses on Friday for the chance to win cash prizes! This is an entry level coding camp with no prior coding experience required.

Curious about starting your own business? This program explores the basics of what it takes to get started, allows you to experiment with ideas, and helps you decide what business you might want to start. At the Friday Marketplace, sell the products you made throughout the week!

Young AmeriTowne 2

Been through Young AmeriTowne and want to go again with more challenges? Young AmeriTowne2 is for you! Expand your knowledge about investing, budgeting, credit and debit cards and experience Young AmeriTowne like never before. **Students must have completed Young AmeriTowne before, either as a summer camp or with their school.**

Refund and cancelation policy

Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the start of camp will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 30 days of camp starting will receive a partial refund: the original cost of the camp minus $100 (for example, if the original cost of the camp was $300, the family will receive a refund of $200).

No refunds will be given once the camp has begun. To make any changes or to cancel registration, written notice is required and should be provided to Jeremy Ollie, jollie@yacenter.org.

If Young Americans cancels a program due to insufficient enrollment, you will receive a full refund.

Parent dashboard

In the Young Americans Center Camps and Classes Parent Dashboard, parents/guardians can:

  • update camper information
  • add, modify, or remove individuals authorized for pick-up
  • enroll in additional camps and classes
  • and much, much more!

Information about how to login to the Parent Dashboard arrives in your email.  Follow the prompts to change your password after logging in for the first time.  For additional questions, contact us during business hours at 303-321-2265 or jollie@yacenter.org.

Tuition

Week-long programs are $300.

Three-Day programs are $180.

Prices are subject to change, and camps offered by third-party organizations charge different prices.

Daily times
  • Week-long programs run Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., and Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Supervised drop-off starts at 8:30 a.m.
  • Supervised pick-up is Monday-Thursday until 4:30 p.m., and Friday until 3:30 p.m.
Attendence

Daily program activities build upon each other, so attendance every day is strongly encouraged.

Age of participants

Each program is grade-specific, so participants must have completed one of the suggested grades in order to enroll.

Operations

Participants will be assigned to a focus group that will meet at the beginning and end of each day.  If your child is attending camp with a friend and is interested in being in the same group, please note that on your registration.  A snack and drink will be provided each day, but participants may bring their own snack if desired.  Candy and other treats may be awarded in some activities.  All snacks and drinks are peanut free.  Participants must bring a sack lunch each day that doesn’t require a microwave.

Confirmation

Confirmation and final paperwork will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of receipt of your registration. If you believe you’ve registered but haven’t received a confirmation email, please contact Programs Registration at jollie@yacenter.org as soon as possible.
