Seniors, Grades 9-10
Cost: $15 per scout (includes class materials and badge which will be mailed following the class)
Format: Virtual webinar presented by a trained staff member
Technology needed: tablet or laptop, internet connection, Google account
Description: In this badge class, girls will complete the steps needed to earn their Buying Power badge. First, they will learn how to compare and contrast prices on items they would like to purchase. They will also learn how conducting research and calculating the long-term costs of items can help them make wise financial decisions. Finally, class participants will come up with a large purchase that they would like to create a savings plan for.
