Meow Town with teachersWelcome IntroOn May 22nd the 5th graders at Aspen Crossing Elementary presented their product ideas in hopes of beating out their peers in the YouthBiz StartUp Shark Tank Competition. The competition was split into two rounds, with semifinals and then finals.  Each group presented their business ideas and product prototypes to judges, professionals from the Denver area, in 3–5-minute business pitches, with business ideas ranging across a wide variety of products. The four winners from round 1Meow Town poses for the win would move on to the finals in Round 2, where each winning team would compete against each other for the chance to win $200 EACH!

In the final round the creative ideas ranged from a sports drink based on the planets, a remote-controlled vacuum, a multi-purpose pet leash, and an extensive pet cat accessory.

The final winner was Meow Town, an all-inclusive creative cat tower. The judges determined Meow Town were the winners because of their well thought out business plan, amazing prototype, and impressive presentation style. Congratulations Meow Town!
