Young Americans Center for Financial Education has been teaching kids about money for more than 30 years and is excited to partner with Boy Scouts to offer opportunities for financial learning and entrepreneurship exploration!

Exploring Program

Boy Scouts of America’s Exploring provides exciting activities and one-on-one mentorship for youth looking to discover their future.  Through this program, middle school students learn what entrepreneurship is all about in this 10-week class.

Saturday, September 14, 2019 – 10:15AM-2:00PM

Ages 10 to 18

If you’ve always wanted to own a business but weren’t sure how to start, this workshop is for you!  During this one day workshop, participants will work their way through creating a real-life business plan!  No need to even have an idea—we will help you with that!  Participants will learn how to create a SWOT analysis, market analysis, and financial analysis of their business idea while also considering operations, staffing, and marketing.  By the completion of this workshop, participants will have a working business plan that can be taken to investors or used as a guide for business development.  No matter where you are in your business, having a plan is critical for success!  Ages 10-18; This workshop satisfies the Entrepreneurship Merit Badge for the Boy Scouts of America.
