Ages: 8-21

Format: Live, In-Person Session facilitated by trained staff members

Description:

Join us for this social enterprise-themed workshop, featuring three socially minded businesses in the Denver community.  Learn why running a social enterprise is good for your community, your customers, and your bottom line by interacting directly with prominent business leaders.  We’ll also learn how to start your social enterprise, or incorporate socially minded actions into your existing business.  All participants will earn awesome perks from Good Business Colorado to help jumpstart their own social mission.

Panelists include Paul Dreyer, CEO of Avid 4 Adventure, Dianne Myles, founder and CEO of Dope Mom Life, Gerry Kim, co-owner of Frozen Matter and Sweet Action Ice Cream, and Alejandro Flores-Munoz, owner of Combi Taco.

Avid4 Adventure empowers kids to choose active and healthy outdoor lifestyles.  Founded in Colorado, Avid4 now operates over 25 locations of summer outdoor adventure camps (day camps, resident camps, and expedition camps) across 3 states, and next summer they are expanded further, into 5 new states. More information can be found here.

Dope Mom Life is a BIPOC-led, Colorado-based company that helps organizations cultivate relationships with diverse communities through video and outreach. DML understands that video content can effect change and invoke action. More information can be found here.

Sweet Action is Denver’s first handcraft ice cream parlor that opened on Broadway in 2009. Our ice cream is homemade with fresh, high quality ingredients and wind power so that it is as good for the planet as it is for your palate.  More information can be found here.

Combi Taco LogoCombi Taco is one of Denver’s first ghost kitchen taquerias, serving the classic  interpretation of authentic Mexican fare.  The menu incorporates local vendors to feature “Street Style” tacos with fresh and flavorful components.
