Young Americans Center for Financial Education offers a Teacher Orientation to every teacher participating in the Young AmeriTowne program. Teachers should schedule a Young AmeriTowne Teacher Orientation or watch a Refresher webinar at least two months prior to attending Young AmeriTowne.  Teacher Orientations are included with the cost of program registration. Money Matters Class – Why Money? (ages 7-9)

Money Matters Classes are designed especially for youth  and their parents.  Games and activities teach young people about the importance of money and banking — and how parents can reinforce those lessons at home. Class participants earn a $10 savings certificate for attending.  Certificates can only be deposited into a Young Americans Bank account.  Accounts may be opened immediately following class.

Girl Scout Badge Class: Daisies Money Counts Badge

Participants who attend this class will be guided through the steps necessary to earn their Money Counts badge.  Girls will learn to identify and describe the different types of coins and the various features of paper money.  They will end the class by discussing savings goals and will have the opportunity to create and set goals of their own.
