Leroy Williams, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberTeKIQ LLC
This week, we invite you to meet the second of our three distinguished mentors hosting a youth entrepreneur in the Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars business competition. Leroy Williams is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberTeKIQ LLC, a management consulting company that helps businesses understand the technology landscape.
Entrepreneurship has defined Williams for as long as he can remember. As a teen, Williams’ uncle entrusted and empowered him to oversee and run the daily operations of his lawncare service, an experience that gave Williams his first taste of business. After serving four years in the military as a young adult, Williams went on to work in the financial services and telecommunications industries where his drive and curiosity allowed him to innovate and deploy “next generation business solutions.” He then spent 11 years at Ball Corporation, eventually becoming the company’s first-ever global chief information officer.
Today, as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberTeKIQ LLC, Williams enjoys being able to share his knowledge and experience with the business community. He is in a perfect position to begin the year-long mentorship of an up-and-coming youth business owner: a winner of the Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars business competition. “Being a mentor means making a bigger impact,” says Williams. “I’m excited to be a part of a youth’s business endeavor by listening, learning, inspiring, and sharing in his or her journey.”
