Ms. Passan is Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications and Content for Janus Henderson Investors.  She joined Janus in January 2015 as Vice President of Public Relations.  She has nearly 20 years communications experience and was previously Chief Communications Officer for Farmers Group, Inc., a Fortune 500 insurance company, where she managed a staff of 65 professionals and all aspects of internal and external communications.

During her career, Ms. Passan has helped several national companies increase brand awareness and manage organizational change through various high-visibility communications challenges.  Prior to joining Farmers Insurance, she was Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications for the Irvine Company, Managing Director and Head of Corporate Communications for TCW.  She led the communications functions at New Century Financial and at Piper Jaffray.  She also held communications positions at Robertson Stephens and at Bank of America.  Ms. Passan began her career at Nordstrom, where she spent five years in various sales, marketing and management roles.

Ms. Passan has a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and a bachelor’s degree in business management from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, California. From 2007 to 2010, she served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.  Ms. Passan is a Director on the Janus Henderson Foundation Board and a Director on the Young Americans Center for Financial Education Board.

Serving on the Board for Young Americans really hits home for Ms. Passan because she has three sons who she hopes will be financially successful one day: Bradley (24), Ryan (20) and Will (11 months).  In particular, she looks forward to exploring ways to expand the International Towne program, which is a hands-on program in global economics.

Ms. Passan is the proud wife of William Passan.
