Participants who attend this event will be guided through the steps necessary to earn their Budgeting badge. Girls will determine their spending values, track their spending habits, set savings goals, and imagine what their lives may look like in ten years.
Girl Scout Class: Daisies (ages 5-7) Making Choices Badge
Participants who attend this class will be guided through the steps necessary to earn their Making Choices badge. Girls will discuss the differences between needs and wants and how choices and decisions affect one’s ability to meet these. They will finish by creating their very own savings jars to take home.
Girl Scout Class: Juniors (ages 9-11) Business Owner Badge
Participants who attend this class will be guided through the steps necessary to earn their Business Owner badge. Girls will discuss qualities and characteristics of being a business owner and will brainstorm how to start and run their own business. They will end the class by coming up with a business plan to implement their ideas.
