It’s that time of year again! Summer is winding down, kids are going back to school, but don’t be too sad….because it time for The Celebration of Young Entrepreneurs! Take a moment to appreciate what these young people are doing to contribute to the community. It takes courage, insight, diligence, and dedication to take an idea to reality. Please join me and Young Americans in congratulating these very accomplished and hardworking Young Entrepreneurs. I am thrilled to announce the finalists of this year’s CYE competition and encourage you to join us for the big event.
6-11 Finalists:
The Bite Sized Bakery – Lexie is 11 and is making strides in the world of cake pops. Her cake pops are adorable and delicious!
Flair Body Care – The name is a combo of two best friends Finn, 9 and Claire, 10 who believe “When you feel good, you look good. It’s a fact.”
Sticky Side Up – Sinéad, 9 takes the art of duct tape jewelry and accessories seriously. This isn’t just about wallets anymore!
12-15 Finalists:
Hanimals – Hannah is almost 16 and a photographer, entrepreneur and philanthropist whose goal is to be a mentor to younger artists who want to start their own businesses.
Jasey’s Little Bakery – Jasey just turned 13 and her treats are sweet and delicious but healthy enough to eat for breakfast! She recently expanded her product line to include frozen cookie dough.
Kenna’s Kards for the Kure – Kenna, 16 wanted to start a business that combines her artistic abilities and also changes the world. $1 from each card sold goes to finding a cure for breast cancer.
Attend CYE to watch the oldest category LIVE PITCH their unique and equally impressive businesses at the event. We are grateful for the accomplished guest judges, include Brian Levin of Perky Jerky and Lara Merriken of LARABAR, who will be making the very difficult decision of deciding this year’s winner.
16-21 Finalists:
B&J Papers – Brothers Brennan, 18 and Janson, 15 have a paper delivery service that serves their local community and employs younger kids..
Eyemonster Art– Devin 18 is a senior at DSST and has created an impressive card company with customization options to reach special markets.
Oli-Bo-Bolly – Olivea is 16 and had no idea a simple school sewing project would grow into an international philanthropic company.
Along with celebrating these incredible business owners’ accomplishments, you can continue to support them by placing order and purchasing their products! There will be time before and after the ceremony to shop! You will also be engaged during the event by texting for audience favorite!
