National Entrepreneurship week this year takes place from Saturday, February 15th to Saturday, February 22nd. As a way to celebrate entrepreneurship and our youth entrepreneurs, we have put them up to a couple of tasks each day on our social media pages along with some entrepreneurial tips. Tuesday’s task was for our youth entrepreneurs to send us their business profile to be posted on a blog and today we’re showcasing Aspen, Jane, and Ailish, owners of a business called What A Beautiful Day. Here is their story!
These ladies started their business about a year ago and recently changed what they sell. They now make bath and body products such as sugar scrubs, bath bombs, and soaps. All of their products are made of natural ingredients so that your skin doesn’t get irritated.
These youth entrepreneurs got involved with YouthBiz after they went to YoungAmeriTowne a few years ago. “Before we started our business we would hear about other youth businesses from the Young Americans blog or on Instagram which inspired us to start our own business. The YouthBiz program has benefited our business by giving us many opportunities we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten. Through the program we have been able to meet so many amazing people who have given us great tips on how to grow our business.”
They have since participated in many YouthBiz events such as Marketplaces, workshops and applied to the 2019 Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars business competition and are currently working on their application for 2020.
