CYE? SWOT? What?
At Young Americans, we love our acronyms, but we know that they’re not as clear to everyone. We’re here to offer entrepreneurship help, especially with all our acronyms.
CYE
CYE is our Celebration for Young Entrepreneurs, our annual business competition. The application is free and online right now. You could win $1000, a mentor for a year, and an awesome package of business related goods and services.
What are you waiting for?
SWOT
SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. This is one of the many questions we ask in the application for CYE. You’ll need to consider the strengths and weaknesses of your business. A more thorough introduction to SWOT is available here on the Builders Lab, our entrepreneurship platform.
HELP
No, this isn’t an acronym, but you may be wondering where you can find some help. Are you curious about the application? Do you have questions on listing your startup costs? Figuring out your business expenses? What should your letters of recommendation look like?
If any of these questions arise when you are filling out the application just ask us! We are here to help! Just contact me, Maura McInerney, at mmcinerney@yacenter.org or at 303-320-3213.
