Axel Fontaine, age 13, is the owner of a new business called Mountain Woodworking.

Our celebration of National Entrepreneurship Week continues, and today we’re proud to highlight Axel Fontaine, the 13-year-old owner of Mountain Woodworking!

To say that Axel is an aspiring entrepreneur is definitely an understatement; Mountain Woodworking is the second business he’s started just in the last year!  His current endeavor sells hand-crafted wooden serving boards which Alex creates himself.  In an effort to “bring joy” to his customers, Axel starts with high-quality wood, creates his products in singular batches, and finishes with a food-safe seal.  “My customers always smile when they see how well it is made,” explained Axel in a recent interview.  “The best part of my business is making people happy.”

Although the pandemic has made sales a challenge for this young entrepreneur, Alex hopes that building a website will help Mountain Woodworking continue to grow.  While he works to complete this project, you can reach out to Axel on his blog for product inquiries or more information!
