Young Americans Center for Financial Education is fortunate to have a knowledgable and dedicated Board of Directors. This month, meet Board Member Heather White, Executive Vice President and Community Banking Director for Vectra Bank Colorado. Heather is responsible for all personnel in Vectra’s 37 retail branches and leads teams in business development, business banking and the client service team. She has oversight of all consumer and small to mid-sized business lending in the Front Range and West Slope markets from Longmont to Farmington, NM. White also focuses her expertise on developing strategies to grow the franchise through deposits, loans, treasury, client service, mortgage and other partner lines of business.
White joined Vectra Bank in 2010 after more than 14 years of banking experience with other large national banks. Her primary banking passions include retail banking, business development, team leadership, and excellence in customer service.
White received a Bachelor of Science in Business, Management, Marketing from Western Washington University. She has a lengthy history of community involvement primarily focused on supporting Junior Achievement and United Way and is an active board member of Young Americans Center for Financial Education.
Heather was exposed to Young Americans through the Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars events where she attended jointly with her husband who teaches at an alternative school. Heather has learned through her husband firsthand how important financial knowledge and exposure are to children. She felt by joining the board, she could do her part to ensure all kids have this early advantage.
