It’s that time of year again. Every spring, thousands of youngsters break out the water pitcher and sugar jar, drag out the card table, design a sign, and start selling lemonade. It’s time for Lemonade Day Denver!
A great partnership
Young Americans is once again partnering with Lemonade Day Denver to encourage young people to start businesses early. Lemonade Day Denver is Sunday, June 9 this year, but we’ve got a special preview event you’re invited to.
There is always a wide variety of lemonade flavors during the Best Tasting Contest.
The Lemonade Day Best Tasting Contest will be held right outside Young Americans in Denver on Saturday, May 18. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the entire community is invited to come taste lemonade and enjoy the creative stands. Just as in past years, there will be a select group of entrepreneurs who have this business thing down to a science, and you’ll get to benefit from their success.
Local celebrity sightings
The celebrity judging panel will convene at noon to start going up and down the sidewalk, tasting and smacking their lips, trying to pick a winner. Prizes will be awarded for Best Tasting Lemonade, Most Creative Stand, Healthiest Lemonade, and much more. There’s even a cash scholarship worth $500 on the line.

We have also invited Denver Mayor Michael Hancock to join us and encourage these young business owners in their endeavors. Plus, a radio station will be broadcasting the results of the contest live from Young Americans!
Get your family started
In addition to plenty of lemonade, we will be having a booth set up where any parents and budding young entrepreneurs can come ask questions about participating in Lemonade Day. You can also grab your Lemonade Day backpack full of resources for the big day on June 9.
