When it comes to community involvement, Young Americans Center Board Member Chris Picardi is passionate about financial literacy and helping break the cycle of poverty. He pours his heart, money and free time into a very important cause: helping underserved youth gain financial literacy so they learn how to earn, make and manage money wisely.
An AmeriTowne alum, Chris attributes his current career in banking to his experience in Young AmeriTowne. Chris worked at the AmeriTowne Bank, a job he wasn’t thrilled about at first–he hoped to be a Police Officer. AmeriTowne changed that, and sparked his interesting in finance.
Today, Chris is a Senior Vice President in KeyBank’s Commercial Banking department, where he specializes in M&A. Chris has worked with Denver’s most prominent private equity groups, for which he has provided financing for numerous business acquisitions. Chris graduated from the University of Colorado with an MBA, and Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s Degree In Finance & Real Estate.
In addition to his work with Young Americans, Chris is also a financial contributor to a number of local nonprofits, including Ace Scholarships, United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, and the Lustgarten Foundation. He is also an active participant in Neighbors Make the Difference Day, KeyBank’s annual, nationwide day of community service.
