Being a Youth Advisory Board member is a truly transformative experience. No matter your interests, you can benefit a great deal from being a part of the board.

Interested in business? The Board can teach you about banking, give you meaningful networking experiences with prominent professionals in the Denver business community, and provide meaningful experience with the inner workings of a business.

Is community service your passion? The Board provides meaningful ways to impact the community by allowing you to volunteer and contribute to Young Americans Bank or its complimentary nonprofit, Young Americans Center for Financial Education, both of which support youth financial literacy. Your participation will help shape programs that reach tens of thousands of kids per year.

Looking for leadership experience? This is a great opportunity to take initiative and work with others. After serving a one year term, members can apply to become a board Co-Chair and lead the next year’s board.

Youth Advisory Board members attended the Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars gala on October 4.

As a member, you will do everything from representing the nonprofit at its incredible annual fundraising gala, creating marketing strategies for its services and programs, and making a real impact on how the bank runs through discussions with employees. All of this while working in a team with a fun group of like-minded youth.

It not only gives you a great perspective on the professional world, but also allows you to truly change the way you look at the professional world and provides great value to students of all interests and backgrounds.

About the Youth Advisory Board

Established in 1987, this inspiring group of 8th-12 graders is the face of Young Americans.  The Youth Advisory Board meets once a month throughout the school year to advise and oversee Young Americans Bank and the nonprofit programs of Young Americans Center for Financial Education.  Applications for the 2018-19 Youth Advisory Board are available online.  Apply today–the deadline is June 3!
