April is always a busy time around Young Americans. Why?  It’s Financial Literacy Month!

Every year we plan dozens of activities, host a variety of classes, and offer presentations in scores of classrooms around Denver.  Here’s a quick run-down of the event highlights you can look forward to during April.  Will you join us for all of them?

Come in any day during April and submit your name in to get a FREE iPod Shuffle.  We will draw a name at the end of Financial Literacy Month, so any customer who comes in during April will have a chance to win.  Our branch will be taking names for the drawing as well, so come into either location to participate.

Swing by to say “hello” and grab a cookie.  We’ll let you have one even if you don’t have a transaction to make.  We just want to thank you for being a customer with us!

Come meet the members of the American Numismatic Association, a group devoted to the study and collection of all kinds of coins.  The Society members bring their collections of ancient coins, foreign coins and mistake coins to share with us.  Get more info on the Money Museum in Colorado Springs.  You can also bring in your rare coins to have them evaluated.  Get more information here, then come talk to them on the 13th.

Philanthropy and Elephants – Saturday, April 20th

In 2012, Young Americans partnered with the Denver Zoo to give our customers an opportunity to be philanthropic. Thousands of youth gave their change to help build a new home for the elephants.  These donations supported the Toyota Elephant Passage at the Denver Zoo.

This year, we’re bringing back some animals at the Zoo (sorry, no elephants inside the Bank) to teach our customers about how donating “time, treasure and talent” supports organizations throughout Colorado.  Watch our Facebook page as we get closer to find out exactly which animals will be hanging out in the Bank.
