Brenden Coney is an entrepreneur who solved a big problem—how can a middle schooler make money? Too young to hold a job, then 13-year-old Brenden asked his father to teach him how to do basic woodworking.
Over the next five years, this seed of an idea grew into an impressive business. Elevation Creations, which is on track to gross nearly $180,000 this year, sells cutting boards and other high-quality and unique wood crafts and gifts. The craftsmanship of Brenden’s work is truly extraordinary.
Now a high school-graduate, Brenden is looking towards the future. He’s balancing education with business development, taking part-time classes at Arapahoe Community College while traveling to tradeshows throughout the country to build his customer base and grow his business even more.
