Young Americans Bank and Center for Financial Education are honored to welcome six new Board Members this year to help lead our organization. Their experience and passion are such an asset to both institutions, and they are already hard at work providing guidance, support, and oversight. Meet all six Board Members below!
Chris Becze, Armanino
As Tax Partner at Armanino, Becze leads the Tax Department’s business development efforts, working hand-in-hand with tax partners and other leaders across industries and geographic areas. Becze’s extensive tax, legal, and business development experience will help guide the Young Americans Center for Financial Education Board. According to Becze, “I believe each child should possess at least a basic understanding of how the financial system works and its importance, not just domestically, but globally. While banking is only one part of the system, it is a large part. Providing the very education YA strives to achieve, children develop a profound respect and interest in a system availing our children with an opportunity to achieve their dreams. YA is effectively developing the next generation of entrepreneurs; something this country desperately needs to continue its global status.”
Mbiyu Chisholm, JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Chisholm’s 20-plus years of banking experience includes managing branches from Washington D.C. to Colorado. Currently, Chisholm serves as Branch Manager and Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co., and he is passionate about supporting his community by serving on the Young Americans Center for Financial Education Board. “Growing up in a third-world country, then coming to America for my education at a young age, financial literacy was extremely important to me,” notes Chisholm. “Involvement in my community has always been a part of my household, and it’s something I’ve shared with my sons.”
Tuhin Halder, Comcast
The Vice President of Finance and Business Operations at Comcast, Halder leads a $4 billion business in five states with over two million customers and 300 employees. As a member of the Young Americans Center for Financial Education Board, Halder shares his diverse business experience including finance, strategy and corporate development, strategic planning, business transformation, product management, and sales.
Chris Hill, Banker’s Bank of the West
Hill may be the newest member of the Young Americans Bank Board, but he is certainly not new to banking. With more than 25 years in the industry, Hill currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Bankers’ Bank of the West where he oversees financial reporting, liquidity and funding, and information security and technology. Hill’s experience has fueled his passion for financial education because, “Financial decisions impact everyone daily regardless of your age, background, or profession. The benefit of providing education earlier in the life of a young person’s life that may not otherwise have access to financial education is incalculable and promotes greater economic inclusivity.”
John Le, Cambiar
Joining the Young Americans Center for Financial Education Board is John Le, the Director of Marketing and Analytics at Cambiar. Le oversees the company’s development and implementation of all marketing content, data analytics, and digital communications, and he has received numerous financial and digital design awards for his work. When asked about his reasons for joining the Board, Le replied, “I truly believe that financial literacy is a critical component of the education system and I’ve seen first-hand the impressive curriculum and experiences that the Young Americans Center provides. I’m excited to be a part of the next evolution of Young Americans and look forward to continuing the long-standing tradition of being a valuable, educational resource for the community.”
Bo Sutton, Bow River Capital
The Young Americans Center for Financial Education Board welcomes Bo Sutton, Director at Bow River Capital. Sutton is responsible for originating, structuring, and driving buyout and recapitalization transactions as well as portfolio management at Bow River, and has extensive experience in both financial services and leadership. According to Sutton, “I’ve long believed that pushing financial education and literacy in young people helps individuals, families, as well as our society. Young Americans is the perfect venue for me to fuse two things I care deeply about: young people and personal finance.”
