Providing Durango young people with real world skills and career exploration opportunities that will lead to financial independence for individuals and families, and stronger communities. Young Americans Center for Financial Education is thrilled to announce we are bringing the beloved Young AmeriTowne educational program to Durango this month!
For the first time, fifth grade students from seven 9R elementary schools will have the opportunity to be immersed in a proven financial education experience, building important life skills, work skills, and financial knowledge—empowering these students to take ownership of their financial futures. The culminating event, where students put their lessons to practice by running their own towne of eight shops and a local government, is taking place in the Student Union at Fort Lewis College. From May 9 through May 20, 2016, Young AmeriTowne On the Road will be housed at the Student Union at Fort Lewis College.
Our goal is to provide Durango young people with real world skills and career exploration opportunities that will lead to financial independence for individuals and families, and stronger communities.
