April is Financial Literacy Month and this week we celebrate Money Smart Week! During this week, partners across the nation are hosting FREE local events for families and individuals to practice and learn personal finance strategies and tips. Visit http://www.moneysmartweek.org for events that are near you! This weekend, in honor of Money Smart Week Colorado, we will host a FREE workshop for kids ages 7-9. The details for the course are below:

Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

Story of Money/Design Your Own Money (ages 7-9)

Students learn about the history of money, what was used before money was invented, why paper money was used, how money is designed and the use of the Mint. They will then have the opportunity to create their own money.

Young Americans is also offering daily savings goal activities at both bank branch locations. Each drawing is being displayed in the bank as a token of our appreciation to our customers for sharing their saving goals! Remember, that if an existing bank customer refers a friend both parties will receive a $5.00 bonus reward in their Young Americans Bank account.
