April is Financial Literacy Month–one of our favorite times of year here at Young Americans.  Besides participating in a national conversation about how to better educate the public about finance, it is the perfect time for youth to take advantage of the programming and services offered by Young Americans.

Tales from Towne: FREE Second Saturday ClassesYoung Americans Center for Financial Education is holding two FREE classes designed to help young people learn about finance in a fun, hands-on way:

Budgeting for Beginners (ages 6-8)

Saturday, April 8th, 2017

Participants will discuss the importance of sticking to a budget and saving money.  They will then play a game that illustrates the concept of wise spending, and planning for emergencies.

BONUS CLASS FOR MONEY SMART WEEK: See Your Savings Grow (ages 6-8)

Saturday, April 22nd, 2017

Students will choose short and long term savings goals and will participate in an activity that allows them to make transactions to meet those goals.  They will then set their own personal savings goals.

Whether you are a new or returning customer, stop by Young Americans Bank to decorate a Savings Pig.  The best artwork will be on display throughout the month at both our Cherry Creek and Far Northeast locations.
