1) How much do your programs cost per student?
While schools pay a fee of $20 per student (less with scholarship aid), the real cost after facilities is $42 per student for Young AmeriTowne and $34 for International Towne.
2) How much for a whole school?
$2,500 is the cost to educate all the 5thgraders from an average school (60 students). Schools may bring as few as 30 students or as many as 120 students.
3) What about schools in low-income communities? How can they afford the fees?
Young Americans’ scholarship program is called Send-a-School. Last year Send-a-School donors gave away $108,034 in scholarship aid to 109 low-income schools and sent 8,736 low-income students through Young AmeriTowne or International Towne on scholarship.
4) Is Young Americans Center for Financial Education just in Denver?
Young AmeriTowne travels state-wide and visits communities as far away as Durango, Greeley, Grand Junction and Pueblo through the On the Road version of Young AmeriTowne. Spotlight on YouthBiz Stars, our statewide competition for young entrepreneurs, is open to youth everywhere in Colorado, too. And, of course, we have bank branches in Lakewood (with a Young AmeriTowne) and Far Northeast Denver.
